I’m a crazy cat, doing crazy things. I live in a world where I host millions of Crazy Games. Everyone was having fun, but somehow, I went unnoticed. Right there in plain sight, feeling invisible. This needed to change, so I went on a journey of self discovery, ready to introduce myself to the world and to make myself as popular as the games. What was the deal? What was the deal?

CrazyGames was a chance to give a brand that millions of people already knew something it had been missing: a character. Ziggy had been there all along, hiding in plain sight. The exciting bit was taking this crazy cat and giving him a life, a point of view and a world as entertaining as the games he hosts.

We treated it like a story of self-discovery. Ziggy was ready to stop being invisible and introduce himself properly to the world. That gave us permission to make everything more playful, mischievous and expressive. He isn’t a mascot that sits politely in the corner. He has moods, opinions and different sides to his personality. Sometimes curious, sometimes chaotic, occasionally ridiculous. Never boring.

Once we found that character, the whole brand opened up. The voice became playfully positive, slightly surreal and creatively freewheeling. Work became schmirk. Netflix could wait. Curiosity definitely wasn’t going to kill this cat. We went deliberately wide, creating characters, expressions, behaviours and moments that could capture the energy and unpredictability of jumping between millions of completely different games.

The craft really mattered. If Ziggy was going to become the face of CrazyGames, every expression had to feel right. The eyes, the face, the movement, the smallest gestures all needed enough character to make him feel alive. We spent a lot of time getting that balance right: simple enough to be instantly recognisable, but with enough range to keep surprising you.

The joy was that once we unlocked Ziggy, ideas started appearing everywhere. Across the digital experience, events, game shows, stuffed toys and everything in between, every detail became another opportunity for his personality to escape. We weren’t just redesigning CrazyGames. We were building Ziggy a world and letting him run free in it.
